The workshop is aimed at providing the students intensive training in the basics of writing for screenplays. After the 8th week the students shall have finished writing their first feature scripts. The course is equivalent to 8 college credits.
12-Week Evening Screenwriting Workshop
For only $2,500 for their tuition students can earn 6 college credits equivalent from this workshop. This course is geared for individuals who don’t have any experience in screenwriting but who are willing to learns the trade secrets. The students will tackle topics in Classic Screenplay Writing, Character Arcs, Heroes, Dialogue, Theme, Conflict, Flashbacks, Genre, Voice Over, WGA Format-Style and Tone, Subtext, Visualization, and Dramaturgy/ Cinematic Syntax. As suggested for students’ convenience, they are advised to have a PC or Apple Computer for the duration of the course.
USC School of Cinematic Arts
