Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum

Nashville's Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is located in central Nashville, just a few blocks from the honky-tonks of Broadway and the famed root of C&W music, the Ryman Auditorium.

This modern $37 million location was unveiled in 2001, and the important visual aspect of this singular museum animates the skyline in Nashville's business district entertainment area.

The Museum has an unbelievably immense collection to memorialize country & western's history, and inside, the crown jewels of the collection are displayed, depicting the account of country music straddling centuries.

You'll find prizes of important taped music, rare TV film, changing displays, live performances and other public performances, live broadcasts, as well as eating at SoBro Grill & Catering and shopping at the Museum Store.

Taking in the presentations of the Hall educates and turns on C&W music lovers of all ages and walks of life, from the freshest country music lovers to those who've loved country music for umpteen years.

As you enter the display areas, you'll view the onward motion of C&W music starting in the fields and saloons of the south, all the way to the Grand Ole Opry and the giant hits of our country music sensations of modern times.

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is self-directed, so you can enjoy it at your own rate - folks commonly take 2-3 hours.  The Museum provides an Audio Tour (70 minutes), recited by Eddie Stubbs (WSM Radio & Grand Ole Opry announcer), along with features recounted by Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, and Trisha Yearwood.

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum exhibits "Sing Me Back Home" as a lasting exhibit covering two entire floors of the building, an energizing journey through the life of C&W music.

Using seminal recordings, artifacts, photos and television film, and interactive touchscreen displays, Sing Me Back Home steeps guests in the sound and history of country music, and the lives and voices of its esteemed stars.

As the "Sing Me Back Home" tour comes to the finish, you'll move into the Hall of Fame Rotunda, another permanent display.  This is the hallowed area where Country Music Hall of Fame® members are honored with bronze plaques accrediting their introduction into the Hall of Fame.

A visit to the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is an important part of any Nashville vacation. You'll decide it is both informative and a great diversion. And with the discernment of the history of Nashville's music you'll gain an improved discernment of Nashville.
